Gold Coast, QLD
Tony Hickey is an internationally recognised development lawyer who has worked with numerous major developers on the Gold Coast and in Northern NSW.
Born and bred on the Gold Coast, he founded Hickey Lawyers in 1993 and has grown the business from a boutique firm with a staff of 12 to a bustling practice with 60 staff, including 20 lawyers.
A keen advocate for the Gold Coast, he has attracted significant foreign investment to the city by identifying and managing development opportunities for European and Asian clients.
Tony also has an interest in architecture and urban design, which has inspired his own foray into development: the $50million St Thomas Place commercial, residential and arts precinct planned for Chevron Island.
Tony is married with four children and is involved with numerous charity and community organisations, as Chairman of the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal and Chairman of the Board of Somerset College.
