We should always do our best to find a mutually beneficial collaboration style that elicits the best experience and outcomes.
While I will adapt to the needs of the task, this is some information that can make things go as efficiently and productively as possible for me.
Preferred Working Style
Communications
If there are existing channels or threads in use by us, please stick to them so the information remains in the same place and is easier to refer back to.
A Teams chat (within a meeting invite if we've had one) is preferred.
Reaching out
Urgent: get my attention via Teams message or call.
Less urgent: Teams message and I will reply when free.
Include some info about the query as I like to think about it before we chat.
Other info
Write up requests and discussions - casual or formal conversations are great and get the thinking process flowing more naturally, but the details can be easily forgotten or mis-remembered so having them written down makes it simpler to go back to.
Both parties should write notes during or after a catch up to be captured in our preferred comms channel.
Use a regular meeting in Teams to catch up and have follow up discussions/questions.
Remind me I can get hyper focussed on projects and delay updates until I feel I have something substantial to report. However, I realise sometimes you just want a progress update so I usually appreciate the reminder to keep you updated.

Working pattern
10 in 9, with every other Monday off.
Refer to calendar or out of office messages for specific dates.
Preferred meeting times
9:30-Midday
14:00-16:00
I like to use the first hour of morning and afternoon to check on emails, messages, and other quick tasks. I also try to schedule meetings in the morning so i can keep afternoons for focussing on projects.
I usually take lunch around 12:00 (noon).
Meetings in my calendar that are marked as busy or out of office and are not-flexible.
Some meetings may appear as Free or Tentative which usually mean optional attendance or other re-schedulable work and could be available for meetings. If in doubt, just ask.
