This is my first year at Beechwood. I was informed at the beginning of the year that there was an IB Prep class. I asked what and IB Prep class was. They told me that it was a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics(STEM) class, which was a class where you use what you know and combine it with technology, math, and engineering. I am not the best when it comes to technology so I thought this might have been a class where I might fail. Also, I thought that it might have been boring, but I was dead wrong. In Mr. Diaz's, IB Prep class, I have learned new things in fun ways. For example, I learned the formula, y=mx + b, in a baseball bungee experiment. I learned how to use a Macbook, Tripod, "high-tech" camera, microphones, green screens, and many more. Mr. Diaz also helped us research and better get to know, what we want for our future occupation. He assigned us the 20% project, which was a year long project that helped us research and put our information into a presentable format. For example, we could make a comic strip that included information about our future occupation. Lastly, I would like to give credits to Mr. Diaz, for giving me a class experience that I wil never forget, and will apply to my future.
