I am a recent graduate of John Carroll University with my bachelors in science of business administration, and my concentration in management and marketing.
I love all things related to music. I love it so much that I have chosen a career in the music business. During my freshman year of college I began working with Andy Grammer, and created several promotional campaigns for his single Keep Your Head Up and debut album. From seeing the industry in a first hand way, I wanted more. I began to work with several other independent artists, and their promotion and selling merchandise at shows. I wanted to find any possible way to push my way in to this tough industry.
Continuing through my sophomore year and junior years, I landed an internship at Live Nation Entertainment, and stayed there for eight months. I began working and promoting shows in the Ohio market. I coordinated meet and greets, escorted media to the stage, and worked on gaining sponsors and sponsorship renewel. I earned and recieved a scholarship for my work at Live Nation from John Carroll's career center.
My big break was coming, I successfully landed an internship at Big Machine Label Group in Nashville Tennsessee as a radio promotion intern summer of 2013. There, I worked with Big Machine Records, Republic Nashville, and Valory Music. The artists included Florida Georiga Line, Cassadee Pope, Taylor Swift, Justin Moore, Rascal Flatts, Brantley Gilbert, The Band Perry, and Eli Young Band.
Through my senior year, I interned breifly as an alternative rock marketing representative for Sony Music's RED Artist Development in the Cleveland market, fall 2013.
I tried to stay involved on campus too, by being the publicity chair for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society, as networking chair for the spring concert, and developing Network For Success. Network for Success is an event held in both fall and spring semesters, where we recruit executives to an event to help business students develop their interview and elevator speech skills.
Currently, I am writing a book called The Show Goes On, which is now on its final edit!
