Anthony Smith

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

I am a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Cartography Consultant at Golder Associates' Sustainable Communities Group (formerly known as HB Lanarc). My work is focused on urban design, land use planning, sustainable transportation, walkability/bikeability assessment and environmental assessesment. I previously worked for four years as a cartographer for a research project at UBC called the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP). I grew up in downtown Toronto and moved to Vancouver in 2005 to study Human Geography and visual art at the University of British Columbia.

I consider myself a data visualization artist and I love designing engaging maps and infographics, many are shown on my personal research blog: I am also a triathlete who loves pushing my mental and physical limits on my bike or in warm yoga classes. I am also a cozy home designer, creator of exciting food and happiest when sharing my life with friends and family.

I look forward to meeting you in person very soon.
