AREAS is a full service Investment Brokerage Services company. We specialize in land and Hotel Consultative & Brokerage services primarily focused on the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.
Vikram is a Civil & Environmental Engineer who spent over 15 yrs in the construction industry as a Civil Engineer and as a contractor. Around 2003, he decided to embark on a new journey. His knowledge in land development and everything that is built on top, prompted him into the commercial real estate realm. He completed all the courses required of a CCIM designation and worked with Marcus & Millichap in their DC offices as their Hospitality Advisor for the region for 8 yrs where he has listed hotel properties in MD, VA, NJ, PA, NY, NC, SC, GA on the East Coast and as far away as CA & OR on the West Coast. He also has an Executive Certificate from Cornell Hotel School (eCornell) in Hotel RE Investments and Asset Management.
While it wasn't still very popular, he set up a full research office in Bangalore staffed by as many as 6 virtual research assistants to research and update property and ownership records of all hotel assets across the region. This allowed him to be very targeted in finding the right buyers for listed assets. The team also helped other agents in the M&M DC office on a 'hire by assignment' basis.
He now has his own consulting and brokerage company AREAS. The office is focused on serving the hotel brokerage and consulting needs of the Mid-Atlantic region especially focused on the Baltimore & Washington, DC extended metros. He hopes to bring his experience and creativity to the process of hotel consulting and brokerage activity to hotel owners in need of his services.
As someone that is passionate about technology and enabled services, he has always been quick to embrace and utilize technology fully in all his all his processes. His primary objective as leader of a real estate brokerage and advisory services company is progressive wealth generation for his clients by utilizing all available data and analytics to help relocate wealth with a faster growth rate. Firmly rooted in the belief that his Clients' interests must always come first he decided to start his own group.
He is now an avid tweeter and tweets about hotels, more specifically those that are pertinent to the owners and managers of Hotel and CRE assets. They include new property developments, recent sales and management changes.
