A private pediatric dentist, Dr. Antoine Skaff offers early infant oral care, adolescent and restorative dentistry, and preventative care from his modern facility in Charleston, West Virginia. Outside of the office, Dr. Skaff engages in professional development and networking with several dentistry societies, spends time with his wife and four children, and donates to charities and nonprofits.
Prior to pursuing a career in dentistry, Dr. Antoine Skaff earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology. As an engineering student, he maintained dean's list status and participated in the school's civil engineering society. Dr. Skaff worked as an engineer in the public services sector from 1983 to 1985 before enrolling in the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1989 before going on to pass the West Virginia and Florida state dental licensing boards on his first attempt, an achievement accomplished by a small percentage of practitioners.
Upon completing his DDS, Dr. Antoine Skaff gained experience working at a busy multipractice dentist office in Tampa, Florida. In 1991, he relocated to Nitro, West Virginia, where he owned and operated a dental clinic until 2000. In 1997, he opened the doors to his present family practice in Charleston, where he and his staff currently see up to 40 patients a day.
A firm believer in Christian values, Dr. Skaff refuses to turn any customers away, regardless of their financial means. Dr. Skaff benefits from continuing dental education through membership in the American Dental Association and the West Virginia Dental Association. During his free time, he participates in the St. George Orthodox Cathedral, part of the Self-Ruled Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, and he contributes to the American Heart Association and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
