An internationally recognized surgeon and researcher, Dr. Anton Bilchik has extensive training in the field of advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. For nearly two decades, Dr. Anton Bilchik has served as a professor of surgery at Providence Saint John’s Cancer Institute (previously known as the John Wayne Cancer Institute) in Santa Monica, California, as well as the chief of general surgery at Providence Saint John’s Health Center.

Listed as one of America’s Top Surgeons for 10 consecutive years, Dr. Bilchik received the John Wayne Cancer Institute's Duke Award in recognition of his humanitarian and scientific contributions. He has also been honored by the American Cancer Society and the American College of Surgeons for his groundbreaking cancer research.

Dr. Anton Bilchik earned a medical degree at the Wits University School of Medicine in South Africa, followed by postdoctoral studies with the gastrointestinal surgical research group at the Yale School of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed a surgical internship, research fellowship, and general surgery residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Bilchik also holds a physician executive MBA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
