Antonio Arocho Principal

Possessing a broad base of experience as a principal and school administrator, Antonio Arocho serves as Assistant Principal with the Manhattan Center for Science and Math High School. An active contributor in his field, Antonio Arocho maintains affiliations with a variety of professional organizations, including the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the Latino Caucus of the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators.
Mr. Arocho began preparing for his career by attending the State University of New York College at Old Westbury, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. During this time he also conducted biomedical research on, "The effects of electromagnetic forces on, Mytilus edulis, cells". As a graduate student he traveled abroad to study at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. Later, he earned a Master of Arts in Biology and General Science Education at New York University.
In his spare time, Antonio Arocho enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as taking part in activities such as painting and reading. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing. His artwork was featured at the Salmagundi Art Gallery in Manhattan, New York.
