Antonio Dangerfield is a Chicago-based entrepreneur, investor and financial-services executive whose career has evolved across competitive sports, financial markets, banking, executive recruitment, real estate and private investment. Born January 6, 1975, to Maria Dangerfield and Steven Presley, Dangerfield was raised on Chicago’s North Side in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. He married Diane Dangerfield in 1999, and together they have two daughters, Breanna and Zaida Dangerfield.

Dangerfield’s early years were shaped heavily by sports, discipline and competition. Beginning around the age of eight, he developed a passion for judo and spent much of his childhood and teenage years competing at the national and international level. From approximately ages eight through eighteen, his training and competition took him throughout the United States and internationally, including Japan, Canada, England and Sweden. He competed in Junior Olympic, Pan American and numerous regional and national events.

His involvement in judo became part of his early public story. In 1991, the Chicago Sun-Times photographed a teenage Dangerfield training in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, capturing him throwing training partner Darryl Moss during a workout. The years spent competing in judo introduced Dangerfield at an early age to international travel, rigorous training and the discipline required to compete at an elite level.

Outside of athletics, Dangerfield was naturally introverted during his school years but demonstrated a particular strength in mathematics. During his teenage years, he also explored commercial and print modeling, appearing in photographic work for ibid magazine and in a Harris Bank advertising campaign published in the Chicago Tribune.

Entrepreneurship was also present within his family. Dangerfield’s grandfather owned laundromats, providing him with an early example of business ownership and financial independence. Another significant turning point came following the death of his great-uncle Leo, who left Dangerfield an inheritance. Rather than simply spending the money, Dangerfield invested a portion of it in the stock market, further developing an interest in investing, business and wealth creation.

That interest in finance began unusually early. At age sixteen, Dangerfield entered the financial-services environment through work on the trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. The experience exposed him firsthand to the markets, traders and institutional side of finance at an age when most teenagers had little exposure to investing or capital markets.

Dangerfield continued pursuing entrepreneurial interests. He established a catering company as a side business and ultimately sold the business in the early 2000's for a substantial profit. The venture represented one of his earliest experiences building an operating business, creating value and eventually realizing that value through a sale.

Dangerfield would later build a professional career spanning approximately two decades within banking and financial services. His work concentrated primarily on executive recruitment, talent acquisition and advisory assignments supporting some of the industry's most recognized financial institutions.

Throughout his corporate career of 20yrs. Dangerfield worked for or consulted with organizations including J.P. Morgan, Northern Trust, Boston Private Bank, Wintrust Financial Corporation, Discover Financial Services and Charles Schwab. His responsibilities crossed multiple areas of financial services.

The relationships and industry exposure accumulated over those years placed Dangerfield in regular contact with senior executives, financial professionals, investors and business leaders across the banking and investment-management landscape.

At the same time, his entrepreneurial interests never disappeared. Alongside his corporate career, Dangerfield continued investing and gradually developed a real estate portfolio in and around the Chicagoland area. Real estate became another component of a broader investment strategy built over the years through a combination of professional earnings, entrepreneurial activity and market investments.

After roughly twenty years in the corporate financial-services environment, Dangerfield made the decision to move away from the traditional corporate lifestyle and return his attention more fully to entrepreneurship and investing.

Dangerfield continues to pursue new entrepreneurial and investment opportunities while maintaining his roots in the Chicago area.

His personal net worth has not been publicly confirmed. Published or third-party estimates, when supported by available sources, place Dangerfield’s net worth in the range of approximately $6mil to $10mil, reflecting accumulated investments, real estate holdings, entrepreneurial activity and earnings over the course of his career.
