Anton Mikhailovich Lennikov is an accomplished academic. Anton’s pursuit for learning has drawn him across the world. His initial studies in medicine took place in his home country of Russia at Pacific State University, from where he graduated with an advanced degree in ophthalmology. Upon leaving PSU, Anton decided to fulfill his dream of traveling by enrolling in a degree program at Hokkaido University’s Graduate School of Medicine. After he completed his degree, Anton Lennikov worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the University’s Department of Opthalmology. In this role, Anton conducted research in lysosomal phospholipase A2 in aqueous humour and NFκB pathway inhibitors on streptozotocin induced diabetic retinopathy.

Once he finished his research in Japan, Anton Lennikov moved on to academia in the United States. There, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher for the Center for Cancer Research Laboratory of Genitourinary Cancer Pathogenesis. A few years later, he decided to move into another postdoctoral research role within the Department of Clinical & Experimental Medicine (IKE)/Division of Neuro & Inflammation Sciences (NIV) at Linkoping University in Sweden.

With nearly a decade of international experience as a scientist and traveler, Anton Lennikov remains passionate about exploring new places and engaging authentically with different cultures.
