Watching cartoons, growing up in Virginia and Maryland, is where the fascination with drawing began. In 2001, I completed something I never thought I could finish... A Bachelors of Fine Art in Traditional & Digital Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.

By mid 2000 it was time to go back home to the Washington DC metropolitan area. Illustration was melding with Graphic design more and more. The industry was hungry for more than cartoonists. So I went looking in other places for jobs.

I sold Holistic pet food, worked as a automotive technician, and I was even a bum for two years. Lucky for me I have great friends and family! I began working as an IT contractor at a Help Desk.

The Help Desk job was unhealthy for both my mind and body. While working a job that pushed me to my limits, I found that it also rekindled a love for mobile technologies.

Mobile tech has rapidly become more available, easier to use, smaller, and most of all fun. I've always liked mobile phones but start adding in tablets, smartwatches, and all the other little gadgets. Since my first portable gaming system to my current smartphones/tablets, there are few things that interest me more. My time and persistence at the Help Desk job finally paid off...

...Now I work as a Mobility Engineer. The basic function of the job is to explain, test, and document what mobile technologies (hardware and software) are best for the client. That's the day job.

At night, Tech consumer/reviewer and Illustrator come into play. If not working on an art project I'm probably messing with new tech or reading about it. There isn't much more to say but there is definitely more to do! Cheers!
