What I Do
I help B2B SaaS product executives and founders validate their product strategy before committing major development resources. My focus is product discovery: understanding what customers actually need so you can build the right product from the start.
Over 25+ years in B2B software, I have developed a methodology called Deductive Innovation. It's a systematic way to discover customer problems as facts, independent of any solution, and then design optimal solutions from those facts. Companies I work with avoid the typical 12-24 months of costly iteration toward product-market fit.
Results: RELEX Solutions
RELEX Solutions wanted to enter the assortment management market. Strong customer demand existed, but every previous vendor in that space had failed to build a product retailers would actually use.
Through six months of systematic discovery, I identified why previous solutions had become expensive shelfware and what a successful product required. A team of 3-4 developers then built and launched a product that signed 5 enterprise customers in year one, with a pipeline growing toward 20+ customers globally. IDC rated the new product as an industry Leader.

Background
I have spent 25+ years in B2B software product development, including roles at Nokia and Comptel (acquired by Nokia for €357M), and consulting for companies like RELEX Solutions. My consulting work has spanned retail, telecommunications, software development, finance, manufacturing, and other industries.
I hold an MSc (Tech) from Helsinki University of Technology (applied mathematics and software engineering) and have taught interaction design at the University of Helsinki.
