ANU Navigators Club
Knowing Jesus and making Him known in the Australian National University
Let me tell you a bit about the ANU Navigators club. We are a Christian group that helps people navigate life and faith. Our heart is to train uni students to be God's workers in the world, with the skills to follow God for the rest of their lives and impact the world as they share the good news about Jesus and teach others to follow Him too.
We welcome anyone who is interested in personal mentoring in their relationship with God, learning more about what the Bible teaches and how we live it out, or exploring who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him.
Who is involved in our group?
The ANU Navs group is quite diverse for its size. We have around 15 to 20 people regularly involved in our activities. This includes Aussie and international students, PhD students and first years, people who have grown up going to church and people who have never opened a Bible before.
What might involvement in our group look like?
Every Monday during the semester we meet for a free dinner and Bible discussion. (Usually 6pm at the Fellows Oval BBQ area.) This is a great chance to make some new friends and discuss matters of eternal importance.
A hallmark of the Navigators is our emphasis on 1-on-1 and small group discipleship, or mentoring. If you are not a Christian, this is an opportunity to sit down with someone else to read the Bible, ask spiritual questions, and decide what you believe. If you are a Christian, it means getting personalized training to become more like Jesus and gain skills to help others also.
We also run conferences, camps, games nights, and other fun events during the year.
How can you get involved?
If you are keen, we would love to have you come along to one of our Monday nights to meet others in the group. If that seems too daunting, one of us would be happy to chat more over a coffee. You can call or message Levi & Lindsey, who are the campus leaders for the ANU Navigators, on 0478 438 444.
