Anuradha Ananth Huggler

I have a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Journalism and Communications; a Masters degree in World Heritage Studies and am currently doing my PhD on Uncomfortable Heritage, its interpretation and management at BTU, Cottbus, Germany.

I also work for Ruptly news agency in Berlin as Client Desk Producer handling the India and South Asia markets.I develop relationships with broadcasters, new media companies, online news portals, mobile platforms, and other video content delivery methods. I work with clients to develop new revenue streams

Before moving to Germany in 2011, I worked in India as a TV journalist for 10 years and as an English teacher for 5 years. I was also a theatre actor during this time. I was awarded a Chevening scholarship in 2003 by the Thomson Foundation which took me to Cardiff University to study Broadcast Journalism. My children's book 'Rangoli' looks at the dying art of Rangoli making in India.

I love travel, people and cultures. I could live happily in Germany forever but the world is so varied and interesting with so many beautiful languages, landscapes, cuisines and literature that my husband ( a writer and journalist and whose wanderlust out-beats mine) and I plan to live in other countries as well.
