Anwesha Sen

Tech Policy Researcher in Bengaluru, India

Anwesha means "search" in Sanskrit, and unintentionally, this sets the stage perfectly for my introduction. At my core, I am a researcher and always have been. Be it a family trip, planning my future, or even something as mundane as a grocery run, I research everything (blame it on social anxiety?). And now, this is what I am building my career and life around.

I have studied social sciences over the past 5 years and have recently completed my Master's in Human Rights and International Politics from the University of Glasgow. Alongside this, I have developed my specialisation around researching tech policies and digital identities, especially in the Indian context. I am a passionate advocate for data rights. In today's digital age, the lack of access to data rights directly affects other human rights and with the AI hype, these rights are fast diminishing.

I want to work to change that.
