In December 2013, I earned a MA in Rhetoric and Composition from Arizona State University. In the fall of 2014 I began my PhD in the Writing, Rhetorics, and Literacies program, and I am enjoying teaching-- It's always an adventure! My research interests include: rhetoric of media and social media, digital literacies, online identity construction, and gender studies. I am excited to be presenting at Computers & Writing in June 2017. My presentation will talk about feminist techne in the writing classroom.

I am originally from Columbus, Ohio. I completed my BA in English Literature at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) in 2009. Shortly thereafter I got a corporate-type job. For a while, I was happy in this job, but I eventually realized that wasn't the life for me. So, I packed up and moved over to academia.

I enjoy being nerd, have a soft spot for puppies, and can often be found at a local coffee shop drinking a latte and reading or surfing the web.
