Abdullahi Oyekunle

Driven by the belief that agriculture is the foundation of sustainable development, I am passionate about advancing plant breeding, agricultural research, climate-smart farming, and food security.

I am an Agriculture graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, with a strong foundation in crop production, agronomic practices, field experimentation, soil management, research methodologies, and agricultural data analysis. My academic training and practical experiences have strengthened my commitment to developing sustainable, science-driven solutions for modern agriculture.

During my internship at Premier Seed Nigeria Limited, I supported research activities involving field trials, crop phenotyping, seed production, agronomic assessments, and experimental data management, gaining valuable experience in translating research into practical agricultural outcomes.

Beyond research, I am committed to knowledge sharing and mentorship as an Agronomic Practices Tutor, helping students and young professionals build practical agricultural skills. I also serve as a Mental Health First Aider (ICHAD), promoting well-being, resilience, and supportive learning environments.

I value integrity, continuous learning, collaboration, and service. My interests include plant breeding, sustainable agriculture, crop improvement, climate-smart agriculture, agricultural innovation, and youth development. I welcome opportunities to collaborate with researchers, institutions, NGOs, and industry professionals to develop solutions that improve livelihoods and strengthen food security.
