Aparna Dhir

Dr. Aparna Dhir is an Assistant Professor, School of Indic Studies, Institute of Advanced Sciences, Dartmouth, MA, USA and Director, INADS Press (Publication Division of Institute of Advanced Sciences, USA). She is an alumnus of University of Delhi. She holds Ph.D. in Sanskrit with research interests in Vedas and Indology. She authored a book “Yajurvediye Brahamano mein Jyotish ke Tattva”. Co-edited a felicitation volume ‘‘Veda-Vidyā-Śrīḥ’ - Gems of Vedic Wisdom’, “Sanskrit Sanskriti Manjusha” and books on WAVES proceedings ‘Innovative Applications of Vedic Knowledge in Modern Times’ and “Conflict Management in Vedic Traditions”along with over 40 published research papers, over 30 published articles / blogs in journals and magazines are to her credit and 6 poems in online blogs.

Dr. Dhir has delivered over 35 invited talks at various platforms majorly includes Nada Veda Adhyana Kendra, Bengaluru, Karnataka; Sattology (an US-based YouTube Channel); & Being Shiva Foundation (an Australia-based YouTube Channel). Additionally, she has presented at 38 International along with 48 National presentations in various conferences and seminars. Since 2022, she is associated as Guest Faculty in Bhishma School of Indian Knowledge Systems, Pune, Maharashtra.

She is associated with Wider Association for Vedic Studies (WAVES-India) for more than fifteen years and currently serving as Honorary Secretary (Admin) that keeps her involve in organising National-International conferences, seminars, discussions etc. Also, she is serving as Associate Board of Directors in World Association for Vedic Studies, USA. She is engaged as executive editor for Vedic Waves Blog and WAVES YouTube channel both are running successfully with over 3, 35,000 hits and 2 K subscribers respectively.

Dr. Dhir's advisory roles include being a board member of Vedic journal ‘Vaidika Vag Jyotih’-Biannual Journal published from Gurukul Kangari University, Haridwar, Uttrakhand, as well as an Editor in ‘संस्कृत-संस्कृति-संवाहिका’ (a Half-Yearly Newsletter) and Member of publication committee in ‘Shiksha Priyadarshini’ Journal published by Sanskrit Sanskriti Vikas Sansthan. Also, she is an editorial board member in International Journal ‘Abhinavdhara’ published by Amity University, Haryana, ‘Shodh Navneet’ (International Peer - Reviewed (Refereed) Research Journal) published by Stuti Prachyavidya Samiti, Uttar Pradesh and Joint Editor in Annual Journal ‘Vedaganga’ Volume 28-30 published by Nada Veda Adhyayana Kendra, Bangalore.

At INADS, Dr. Dhir has been instrumental in driving various initiatives and organizing events like Navratra Manisha Evam Ram-Janamohotasava, Ekadash Rudra-Manthan, Loka-Varta, and Devi Mahatmayam Series. This all keeps her involves actively as Organising Secretary, Coordinator, Moderator, Panelists, Examiner in various programs.
