Undergraduate Student at Isenberg School of Management
University of Massachusetts, Amherst
I am a highly motivated and ambitious undergraduate Junior in the Bachelor of Business Administration track with a declared accounting major. Aspiring to work in the Public Accounting industry in the audit or tax fields, I am very eager and determined in taking the next steps towards starting my career in public accounting.
Global reach and vast national and international clientele is of particular interest to me when establishing my short and long term goals. As an immigrant of German descent, my cultural upbringing, family ties, dual citizenship, and native German language would be an advantage for possible future assignments with international clients. That being said, working with clients and individuals in different business areas would make a great learning experience.
My current focus is applying for and aquiring an internship for the 2015 Summer term at one of the top 6 Public Accounting Firms in the Greater Boston area.
My motivation for pursuing a career in public accounting comes from several different areas. For example, the experience I’ve gained within the retail industry at Forever 21 and general sales at Regal Cinemas has significantly advanced my strong customer-oriented professional attitude and has given me a solid understanding of the daily tasks of running a business. In addition, planning and organizing one of the American Diabetes Association’s major fundraising walks through my volunteered time as an intern, has lead me to acquire important leadership skills while simultaneously learning to work effectively in a team oriented environment.
Working as a Sales Assoicate, I assisted and advised customers with purchases as well as marketed and assembled merchandise to imporve purchases and prevent inventory loss.
