Ana Pequeño Valtierra

biologist and Researcher in Santiago de Compostela

Date me

I am biologist and I am working like a lab assitant in Genomes and Disease, a research group at the university of Santiago de Compostela. Before, I worked in the department of Analytical and Food chemistry in the University of Vigo, where I have started my PhD thesis about marine biotoxins. One year later I decided to change my field of study and here I am!

As you can imagine, I like everything related with life sciences and I hope to work in that field forever! I really love illustrations about science and infographics and I'm learning about Illustrator in order to do my own works. I try to learn english day by day at work and at home because I want be able to communicate with everyone.

I am also interested in ecology, volunteering and travel. I did some environmental volunteers because I love contributing to the protection of the environment. I usually travel in my free time, that's a perfect experience to learn new things.
