I am a 3rd-year University of Johannesburg student teacher majoring in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and English. In my teaching practice my main aim has been to center the learners. I believe that I, the teacher, need to be a facilitator of learning rather than an expert of any learning content. There is power in working together and finding solutions to problems and that is the kind of teaching environment I hope to achieve. As an ICT student, I believe that technology enhances learning, with the implementation of online learning platforms during the covid 19, I feel that it has given us more chances to utilize technology, to be innovative, and to promote innovation to our learners as 21st-century teachers.
