Hi there I'm Apple, I grew up in Beijing, China and moved to the U.S. my second semester of sophomore year. Throughout my childhood, I've always been moving around or traveling with my mom either due to school, work, or just my mom wanting to avoid my grandma( her mother in law).

When I was five, I lived in Coventry, UK for a year, where I learned my English. Afterwards, every year we'd go to a new country to travel and explore the culture. For the longest time I genuinely thought I'd end up living in the U.K. when I grew up because it had been my favorite out of a dozen countries.

However, a huge plot twist happened when I was 13.

That year I got to go on an exchange program in Indiana for the summer. Immediately, I fell in love with the people and education there. I loved how all the kids had unique interests and could build their own curriculum. My host family was also incredibly supportive of their kids, the atmosphere was just overall so contagious it gave me a wonderful impression of the United States. Ever since then, the U.S. became my new favorite country, so you can imagine my joy when I heard that my mom decided to move there for her scholars program.

Anyways, now that I'm here, I've tried out so many hobbies. This photo is when I had an interesting cross over between working on a theatre set for Into the Woods (hence the black paint stains) and my official fourth month in the gym (hence the biceps).
