April is both a resilient leader and dynamic creative director, having sat on both sides of the table with a strong UX / Creative portfolio of both B2C and B2B marketing in both traditional and new media.
She began her career as an art director for several agencies based in North Carolina, including McKinney & Silver and Ogilvy & Mather. Her next stop was to DDB Worldwide / Tracy Locke in Dallas, building brands such as Pepsi, Frito-Lay and Pizza Hut, Bombardier, Harrah's Casino's, Dell and American Airlines while continuing to create award-winning work. She created her first website in 1997 and propelled PepsiCo's digital retail presence at the very beginning of the digital advertising era, leading strategic efforts in promotions and interactive.
In 2000 she accepted the role of group creative director for The Launch Point, a division of Tracy Locke, and in 2005 stepped up to executive creative director where she led teams to launch new products and brands for Brown-Forman, NOKIA, Mountain Dew and more. April moved on to become Principal and group creative director for PowerPact, an independent firm based in NYC, in 2006. She strategically and creatively led teams on projects for clients like IKEA, Sony, Yoplait, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, General Mills, Procter and Gamble and Capital One.
Accolades include W3s, Communication Arts, New York Festivals, New York Art Directors Club, POPAI awards, Tellys, Addys, Davies and RX Awards. Her work has been published in Communication Arts, Print Design Annual, HOW, Adweek, and Advertising Age.
April founded Moore+ in 2011, a strategic creative consultancy where shes worked with Mary Kay Cosmetics, Samsung, Bailey, Banks & Biddle and others.
She refuses to settle, only accepts the very best; and that is apparent in everything that passes through her fingers. In her free time, you can find her volunteering, playing wine enthusiast and hiking with her two Jack Russell terriers.
