Sprouted in the Canton of Ticino on April 2, 1967, I first navigated the turbulent waters of compulsory schooling, eventually washing ashore with a commercial diploma. Ten years of existential and professional wandering later, I capped off my academic journey with a professional commercial maturity. After spending years gaining experience in civilian logistics—the fine art of getting things to the right place before the world ends—I decided to change theaters and earned my professional officer diploma at the Military Academy of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. In 2003, driven by an insatiable and perhaps slightly unhinged thirst for knowledge, I successfully completed the Captain Career Course at the Army Logistics Management College in Fort Lee, Virginia. Since June 1, 2012, I have been serving the fatherland and the glorious machinery of bureaucracy at the Command of Higher Military Education (HKA) in Lucerne.

Bio Summary: Let’s dispel any illusions right away: I am not better than anyone else. I do not possess a superior intellect, nor cover-model charm, and I am certainly not sweeter or nicer. In fact, if we are taking inventory, I am decidedly more sarcastic, acidic, aggressive, stubborn, touchy, competitive, and, let’s face it, more of a pain in the neck. Sometimes I lack a filter, which is just a polite way of saying my diplomacy is strictly optional. I am imperfect, and I wear this flaw with profound philosophical pride. I know who I am, where I come from, and how I react when the universe tests my patience. I know my strengths and my weaknesses, even if I occasionally like to mix them up. I am not the best. But I hold one unshakable certainty: there are plenty of others out there who are much worse. I make mistakes every day, embracing my own fallibility with methodical dedication. And every day, with stubborn obstinacy, I strive to improve.
