Aral Atakan (born 11 November 2011) is an independent researcher working in the fields of materials science, nuclear physics, astrobiology, and space technologies, and is the founder of TTU Space Institute.
Atakan has strengthened his academic background through educational programs offered by prestigious institutions such as Arizona State University (ASU), POSTECH, and the University of California, Davis (UC Davis). His research focuses on the following areas:
Space Architecture and Composite Materials: Development of next-generation construction materials for extreme environments and extraterrestrial surfaces, along with the investigation of their mechanical performance and structural behavior.
Nuclear Physics and Radiation: Theoretical and experimental studies on radiation interactions in extreme space environments and the application of nuclear physics principles to space-related challenges.
Astrobiology: Theoretical and experimental research on the stability, preservation, and behavior of organic molecules under extreme environmental conditions.
Advanced Materials Technologies: Independent research on the synthesis and development of functional nanomaterials and specialized gel systems.
Aral Atakan is currently engaged in transforming his research findings into academic publications. As the founder of TTU Space Institute, he leads research and development projects dedicated to advancing space science and technology.
