Aranya Bhattacherjee

Dr. Aranya B Bhattacherjee studied at the University of Delhi, where is got his “Master of Science in Physics” in 1990 and his “Ph.D ” in Physics In 1995. He is currently an Associate Professor in Physics at ARSD College, University of Delhi. He has been the ICTP-TRIL Fellow in 2003-2004 at the University of Pisa. In addition, his collaboration with the ICTP includes an earlier Regular Associateship. He is former teacher associate of the “Institute of Mathematical Sciences”, at Chennai, India. He has been visiting scientist to the University of Essen, Germany and Freie University, Berlin, where he had been a DAAD fellow in 2006 and 2011. He was a visiting scientist to the Max Planck Institute of Physics of Complex Systems, Dresden, Germany in 2007. He has been awarded the Endeavor Research Fellowship of the Australian Government for a research position at the Nonlinear Physics Center, Australian National University in 2007. He was also selected as University Grants Commission –Associate Professor under the faculty recharge programme. His current research interests are Quantum Gases, Quantum Optics.
