Aravindhan Anbazhagan is currently pursuing his two-year fellowship at Teach for India, and working as a full-time teacher in Corporation Middle School, MGR Nagar, Chennai teaching 37 adorable 4th Graders. He is a recent undergraduate on Computer Science and Engineering.

He is a dynamic volunteer of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society for 3 years and the recipient of the prestigious MGA Larry K Wilson - Outstanding Student Volunteer Award representing IEEE Asia-Pacific R10.

Aravindhan actively participated, volunteered and organized in a total of 94 student activities with IEEE at various scales including his Student Branch, Section, India Council and Region 10 and held 14 leadership and officer roles as an IEEE student volunteer at different scales. He is one among the 16 recipients of Richard E Merwin Student Leadership Scholarship from IEEE Computer Society worth $1000 during October 2014 cycle.

He represented IEEE Madras Section as a delegate thrice at AISC (2013-15), thrice at AICSSC (2013 -15) and twice at R10 Asia-Pacific SYW Congress at Colombo, Sri Lanka and Bangalore, India.

He enjoys interacting with students sharing his experiences as a volunteer. He delivered 7+ talks related to IEEE on events such as Nagercoil Hub Congress 2015, SIPP 2015, Chennai Hub Congress 2016, Student Professional Awareness Conference 2016, SICS 2016, IEEE Day 2016 celebrations at Jeppiaar Institute of Technology, Chennai and G Pulla Reddy College of Engineering, Kurnool.

He published and presented technical papers related to Computer Science domains such as Green Computing, Mobile Computing, Neural Networks, Wireless systems, Web Services at 2 National Conferences and 3 Technical Symposiums. He visited a total of 34 institutions / colleges during 2012-16 during his student life.

He was also involved on volunteering for special camps, workshops and awareness programs with National Service Scheme (NSS), and represented his college at various quiz competitions and technical exhibitions. He participated at the Summer Camp 2015 organized by FSFTN at IIT Madras and learned open source technologies.

He is currently serving as Ambassadors Program Coordinator for IEEEmadC (2016) & Project coordination member of AIYEHUM (2016) challenge by IEEE Region 10.

He loves traveling, blogging, swimming and reading books. He is also a social media savvy person.
