Aravind in an experienced Product leader, leading teams both in a start-up and large corporate organizations in India and in the U.S. Evolving a product strategy and driving rapid tactical execution to learn fast and produce great outcomes is his forte.
As a Product Leader at Yahoo, Aravind reports to SVP for Communication Products (who reports to the CEO) and leads one of the 12 key products Yahoo is investing into. Under his leadership Yahoo Groups was redesigned, optimized for mobile and launched with new features to turn around and grow user engagement by over 50%.
Prior to this, he was Director, Emerging Markets Product Group at Yahoo! Where he led and launched a portfolio of 'not global' products for users in India, Middle East and South East Asia.
Previously, he was Chief Product Officer Asklaila.com responsible for product management, strategic partnerships for this venture funded ($12M) local search start-up in Bangalore. During his tenure, Asklaila launched on web and mobile for over 1000 Indian cities and grew usage to more than 5M users.
Before joining Asklaila, Aravind was with Microsoft Corporation, for 10 years, First in Bangalore - where he launched and Lead MSN India and later moved to Redmond WA in Product management roles with MSN, Search (Bing) and later built and ran the Microsoft affiliate network
