Archana Pillai


Ms. Archana Pillai - is a Licensed Dietitian and author .She did her M.Phil in Food Science and Nutrion, She is a Postgraduate in Food Science & Nutrition; and holding bachelor degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.

She specializes in obesity management and certification in Sports Nutrition. Also she is an active member of American Dietetic Association and actively participates in discussions of Weight management, Nutrition Entrepreneurs and Clinical Dietetics.

With a national level qualification for lectureship (National Education Testing, University Grant Commission, 2005); she had functioned as Lecturer in Kerala Agricultural University, and also in Colleges under Calicut University for undergraduates and postgraduate students. She also, worked as external examiner for nutrition courses with many renowned education academies as IGNOU and Kerala University.

She is actively involved in various nutrition and Health related talks and discussions with Amrita Television, All India Radio and Radio Salam FM – Dubai. Also conducting, various corporate wellness programs with major organizations in Dubai and Kerala.

Her research association encompassed hypoglycemic effect of selected foods on Diabetes, and homemade recipes to control Hypercholesteremia on selected male subjects. Also guided researches for Post graduate students with Calicut University. Published papers on effect of Lotus stem on Pregnancy related Anemia at annual conferences of Indian Dietetic Association.

She is a life member of Indian Dietetic Association, Nutrition Society of India, Association for food scientists and Technologists and American Dietetic Association.

Recently she has published a book on "Dieting - all you want to know" in Malayalam with H&C books.
