Ardis A. Nelson

Seattle, Washington

I am a mother of two wonderful teenage young men and a dedicated wife of 30 years. I also have extended family in Spain that includes another young man, whom I affectionately consider my son, and his mother.

When I’m not writing I’m usually engaged in some type of healing or recovery ministry. I am a big supporter of Christian 12-step groups. Step 12 calls us to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs. My writing and speaking are my “12th Step”, where healing turns to hope.

My second biggest passion is partnering with Pedro Gonzalez Arbona, my Spanish son, on his budding music career. Pedro is a gifted composer who scores music for Spanish films. His music is also available on itunes, Spotify, Amazon and other online music sites.

My writing includes regularly blogging at ardisanelson.com/makingmebold/ and the inclusion of my story, “Walking My Mother Home”, in the compilation, “Journeys to Mother Love”. My hobbies and spare time are devoted to photography, scrapbooking, reading, and writing my memoir.
