My psych career started during childhood, though I only began paying it any attention during my undergrad. Having been in a car accident that required some rehabilitation at the tender age of five, I attended my first therapy sessions, was introduced to the WISC-III, and taught to fear and respect my brain for the powerful-but-fragile being it is (I am? We are? ...).

During my undergraduate degree, psychology serendipitously fell into my lap around the time that I realised I'd never be an architect. It was all downhill from there. I lapped up everything I could find and, within a matter of years, found myself in graduate school. All academics ran beside one psych-related volunteer placement or another (or two). I made sure to supplement my theoretical understanding of the field with practical application from Day 1, and never regretted it.

Now, having been through a year of grad school - with research, psychometric, and semi-clinical experience under my belt, along with a whole whack o' passion - I'm ready to move on to bigger and better things! I'm currently in the process of transitioning between schools, beginning Yorkville University's MACP and the Five-Year Training Program at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto in the Fall, and itching to get out into the field. I'm qualified to work as a tutor for most undergraduate psych courses (see LinkedIn for specifics), psychometrist for various intellectual and personality assessment measures (LinkedIn), research assistant (LinkedIn), data manager, baby-/catsitter, personal chef for the broad of palate, photographer of modest equipment (LinkedIn), editor-in-general, and potentially many other things; I've been known to dabble. All I ask in return is for the provision of meagre funds, or perhaps a stale loaf and some old cheese. I'm open to negotiation.

Personal Assets: In addition to my wealth of unpaid experience, I'm pathologically reliable, impossibly organized, tremendously personable, and only a tad prone to hyperbole. If you require references from individuals willing to attest to these skills and many others, I can provide up to five on a moments' notice. Should you require anything else (within reason), I wholeheartedly encourage you to contact me.

Best,
A.
