Ariel Barry
Washington D.C.
Student by day, television news addict by night…Coming one day (eventually) to a news station near you.
Though a Virginia native, I moved to California for college and spent two years in Monterey, exploring all the Golden Coast has to offer. I graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay in May 2013, receiving a BA in Human Communication with a concentration in Journalism and Media Studies. There I worked as a staff reporter for The Otter Realm, the university’s bi-weekly student run publication distributed throughout the Central Coast.
Now living in the D.C. area, I am currently a grad student in the Journalism and Public Affairs program at American University’s School of Communication. Though my background is in print, I am looking forward to focusing on broadcast and gaining more experience in this area.
I have a passion for adventure, travel, and experiencing new cultures, and dub myself a "live-in tourist" in Washington D.C.
