He became a Seasonal and Volunteer Police Officer in New York as a teenager, which was followed by a career in both federal and municipal law enforcement. After the 9/11 attacks, he worked for homeland security and was the National Training Coordinator, leading transportation threat assessment projects for the CAT Eyes Program.

Ariel Benjamin Mannes later joined the Highway ISAC, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and served as a senior consultant for a homeland security technology firm. He also assisted with emergency management & homeland security projects for numerous public safety agencies in Los Angeles, Columbus and Greater Philadelphia. He later served for over eight years as the Director of the Office of Investigations with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), leading test security and global asset protection for the Continent's largest medical board.

Ariel Benjamin Mannes is a subject matter expert and consultant. He holds a Master of Arts degree in organizational leadership and a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Exam Security Professional (CESP) and has certificates in the National Incident Management System, forensic epidemiology, crisis management, campus response, emergency planning and hospital emergency management. Ariel Benjamin Mannes is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a Freemason, currently living in Philadelphia with his wife; where he volunteers on the board of Peirce College and is an active member in the Philadelphia chapter of Infragard.
