I am a qualified professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management and Community Development at Acadia University. The Recreation Management and Community Development program focuses on the growing demand for professionals in my chosen field – through the application of theory, principles, and practices of business within the recreation industry.
Thanks to this elite program, I am prepared for diverse positions including management, marketing, public relations, communications, facility and event management, program development, leisure and lifestyle management, as well as a combination of many community development pursuits.
This degree has made me a happy, well-qualified professional eager to help build sustainable healthy environments.
I completed my Professional Practicum with USA Rugby, in Boulder Colorado, responsible for developing youth, highschool, and female rugby across the USA, together with a Strategic Community Planning and Developing Project (Map in a Tube-Aspotogan Peninsula Nova Scotia) with the Acadia Center for Social and Business Entrepreneurship.
I attribute my years in varsity rugby, my experience as a snowboard instructor, and my time as a certified lifeguard at Plunge Aquatic Centre (Blue Mountain, Ontario) – as further commitment to the recreation industry.
Thank you kindly,
