Hi! My name’s Arielle. I’ve been playing violin for 8 years, five years of self-taught and three years of formal lessons. I started playing when I was in junior high school where I saw a couple of violin members play the Philippine’s National Anthem. I was so moved by their practice that I became interested in playing the violin. At first my parents were unsure of my decision in joining the RMHS Violin Ensemble because they thought I wasn’t going to be serious about it so they bought me a cheap violin. But I was sincere about it and my parents weren’t disappointed. It turns out that music revolved my life around.

In 2014 I joined a non-profit organization of Ang Misyon called the Orchestra of The Filipino Youth and became an Assistant Concertmaster of the orchestra’s prep club until I was promoted to the main orchestra, the Orchestra of The Filipino Youth. In 2016 I was recognized as the Concertmaster of RMHS String Ensemble. Currently I am pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education Emphasis in Violin at the University of Santo Tomas and also a proud scholar of the UST Symphony Orchestra.

Establishing the Red Academy of Music is my gratitude for the teachers, mentors, and professors who became my inspiration in pursuing to teach music. Furthermore, the ideal purpose of Red Academy of Music is centering in the character of societal change with the intention to help specifically in the department of music education of the country integrating from the staff, faculty and to students the value of good character, compassion, kindness, humility, nationalism, creativity, mentoring, to inspire and be inspired through musicianship. Because I believe from the words of my senior high school professor that, “to teach is to touch the lives of many and to help us learn life’s lessons. But to teach well is to make a difference in all the lives you touch…”–Edgardo De Dios.
