As a hedge fund professional, Ari Glass maintains memberships in several related organizations, including the Hedge Fund Group and the Hedge Fund Association, which seeks to promote trust, transparency, and development of alternative investments. He also holds professional ties to Alternative Investment Group, LLC. A New York resident, Ari Glass currently serves as Managing Member of Boothbay Family Office Management, LLC. He brings more than 17 years of investment management experience to the firm, which operates under a three-pronged business model. Mr. Glass’ organization gives investors one-off investment opportunities, as well as providing seed capital to startup hedge funds specializing in quantitative approaches, such as high-frequency trading and statistical arbitrage. In addition, the firm operates the Boothbay Hybrid Fund, a hedge fund which divides trading activity between internal and external managers, some of whom invest in limited partnerships. Previously, Ari Glass led Paine Heights Management LLC, which specialized in one-off investment opportunities. Among his accomplishments, Ari Glass launched the Paine Heights Special Opportunities Fund LP in 2008. With this subsidiary, he recognized favorable circumstances in the special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC) market, which involves creating shell entities, holding IPOs, and using the funds to purchase other companies. Paine Heights also specialized in life insurance settlements. Mr. Glass led Paine Heights in evaluating and offering investment opportunities in premium finance, tax liens, and energy service companies, among others. In his former position with Platinum Management (NY) LLC, parent of Paine Heights, Ari Glass oversaw investments worth approximately $750 million and managed the company’s business-related activities, such as marketing. A longtime, ardent fan of the New York Giants, Mr. Glass lives in Westchester County with his family. He graduated from Queens College.
