Ari Levin

Hi! My name is Ari Levin. I am 18 years old currently taking English 1101 at the University of Georgia. Before coming to college, I was nervous because I did not know that to expect and I did not know if people would be so accepting like in high school. However, I have found college to be excellent so far and I cannot wait for what the future holds in both English, and all other subjects. One thing that I am very passionate about is soccer. I love watching the MLS (Major League Soccer) and the Premier League in England. My two favorite teams are Atlanta United and Tottenham Hotspur. In high school, I was the founder and president of the Atlanta United Club. We did not have very many meetings, but the ones that we did were very entertaining. Although I like soccer so much, I actually did not okay it in high school. Instead, I played tennis where I was the team captain for both junior and senior year. During my time as captain, I was able to help lead my team to two state tournaments and we even placed eighth in the state which was our best result in over twenty years. As much as I love tennis, I am not sure if I will continue to play in college. Maybe I will take up soccer to fulfill my passion! So far, a lot of my time has been wrapped up in Greek life. I am currently a member of Tau Epsilon Phi, a Greek fraternity on campus. I really like everyone in the fraternity and they are very helpful when it comes to adjusting to college. So far in English, I have learned so much under the guidance of Professor Galli. I have already noticed that my papers are improving and I am so grateful for everything Professor Galli has done so far. I am starting to like English more and more.
