Arlena Hines

Arlena Dudley Hines, B. A. Interior Design, Michigan State University, is the former program coordinator for the Interior Design and Fashion Technology program at Lansing Community College (LCC). She is a charter member of the Michigan Chapter of American Society of Interior Designers, (ASID), where she has served as a board member. In addition, she was faculty advisor to the first Community College Student ASID chapter in Michigan. Hines is a corporate member of Interior Design Education and Research Association Council, (IDEC) and is National council for Interior Design Qualification, (NCIDQ) certified. Under Hines leadership, LCC was the first National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Accredited program in the State of Michigan (2000-2012). Prior to her commitment, to teach full time, Professor Hines was an Interior Design Review Consultant for Michigan State Housing Development Authority. She also is the principal of Hines Interiors were she specializes in residential design and construction, and universal design.
