Arlisa Richardson

I have been inspired by many people, many ideas in my life. I found early in my endearvours that I am happiest and most valuable when doing something to benefit others. Whether giving my all to a teammate to get the job done or donating my time to help those who are less fortunate than I, the sense of fullfilment is the same. This realization has made all the difference in the paths I've chosen so far.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia I come from a loving family background. With the support of family, friends and community I graduated high in my class from Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, Georgia and went on to explore a future in journalism and communications at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. My first years in college opened my eyes to a larger world, full of opportunities to appreciate other people, cultures and values.

Soon, my life took a different path. My thirst for people and places grew and I devoted myself to travel to exotic parts of the world, learning as much as I could along the way. I used that time and those experiences to cultivate my aspirations for the future. Finally, I returned home inspired to pursue a career in hospitality and committed to giving to others.

My interests in beautiful places and different cultures contribute greatly to my choice of career path. I love food and language. Luxury and adventure. And that, along with my love of people, has made me perfectly suited to the guest service industry.

Now, having over 10 years experience in the hotel and hospitality field, I have honed my service skills working with several of the world's most renown and respected brands such as Marriott, McCormick and Schmicks', CruiseWest, Aramark Corporation and Ernst Young Coopers and Lybrandt, LLC. I have explored my passion for guest service in a variety of positions within the industry, from restaurant service to concierge and hotel front desk. And I find there is always more to learn.

My path so far has been full of challenge and reward. I look forward to a career in guest service with a limitless future, always seeking new opportunities to expand my world view. Always looking forward to whats ahead and staying grounded in words that inspire..."I will act as if what I do makes a difference."
