Armand Human

Tutor and Writer in South Africa

I have more than three years of experience working as an online ESL tutor, teaching English to international students. In my classes I help learners improve their speaking ability and build stronger vocabulary. I also guide students as they develop grammar accuracy and clearer pronunciation. My approach focuses on clear communication and engaging lessons that help students feel comfortable using English in conversation.

Alongside my work in education, I have been involved in community outreach and ministry work in the Northern Cape, South Africa. I worked with ministers and theology students to organize charity initiatives, evangelism events, community support programs, and local outreach activities. I also assisted with the daily work at SOF Campus and Ministries. This included helping during special events and supporting counseling services as well as rehabilitation programs.

I have also taken part in television and media production. I worked with a production team to help create full length television programs for national broadcast on the South African Christian television channel Kruiskyk, which was previously hosted on Openview. My work included filming with DSLR cameras and editing video with Adobe Premiere Pro. I also organized production footage and traveled across the Northern Cape for filming projects.

During this time I supported projects connected to AFM Deo Doxa Church and the House of Hope charity organization, both linked to the School of Fire Campus. My role involved assisting with community outreach efforts and ministry related activities. I also helped support charitable initiatives and organizational work connected to these programs.

In addition, I worked as an Independent Consultant and Administrative Assistant on an industrial piping software project. My responsibilities included assisting with marketing coordination and preparing project documentation. I also contributed to interface design discussions and supported general administrative work related to the project.

I studied Theological and Ministerial Studies at the School of Fire Campus. My studies focused on biblical studies and theological reflection. I also explored church history and practical ministry training. During this time I received the First Year Academics Trophy and the Biblical Studies Trophy, awards that recognized my academic performance and dedication to my studies.

I also earned a Certificate in Cinematography and Film and Video Production from Tzilum Productions. During this training I developed skills in camera operation and visual storytelling. I also gained experience with film production processes and video editing techniques.

While studying at the School of Fire Campus, I served as a Student Council Member. In this role I helped support student leadership initiatives and campus programs. I also contributed to community engagement activities and assisted with student related events.

I later earned a Professional Diploma in Creative Writing from Shaw Academy in partnership with Austin Peay State University. The program focused on storytelling techniques and narrative structure. It also emphasized the craft of writing and the development of clear written communication.

I also completed a TQUK Level 5 TESOL Certificate through the International TEFL Training Institute. This training focused on teaching English as a foreign language and explored practical ESL teaching methods. I studied lesson planning and classroom communication approaches designed to support language learners.

I also took part in the Qingdao Teacher Training Classroom through Talk915. This program focused on professional development for online ESL teachers and explored effective strategies for language instruction. The training also examined communication skills used in online classrooms and methods for encouraging student participation.

I am also a member of the TESOL International Association. Through this community I remain connected with educators from different parts of the world. The association provides access to research and professional learning resources that support continued development in language teaching.

I have also spent time learning through LinkedIn Learning, where I study topics connected to education and communication. I also explore courses related to media production and technology. These programs support my continued growth as I develop teaching methods and strengthen professional skills.

In addition, I have completed several digital marketing courses through Simplilearn. These courses covered search engine optimization and social media marketing. I also studied content marketing strategies and digital campaign planning. The training helped me understand how online communication and audience engagement work in professional settings.

I am also a member of edWeb.net and Twinkl South Africa. Through these platforms I access teaching resources and classroom materials that support lesson planning.
