I work on a wide variety of biological and medical questions and they all share one thing: proteins

The application of new innovations and developments to real life problems is what interests me most, especially on the subject of precision health care. Currently I am working on a convenient at home blood test for quantification of life-style changes using protein signatures.

The large part of my work is dedicated to relate protein signatures to breast cancer. I do that by measurements with a novel and very sensitive method called targeted proteomics. Which proteins are important for the onset? Are there protein predictors that distinguish between different types of breast cancer and which treatment works best?
