Arrianna Marie Planey
PhD Student in Urbana, Illinois
I am currently a Ph.D student in the Geography & GIS department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), with research interests in disability, health and medical, and economic geography. I am also a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Research Scholar.
My dissertation work examines the ways in which health policy shapes healthcare service access, utilization, and outcomes among people with disabilities in the U.S., with an emphasis on hearing healthcare (audiologists). This includes, but is not limited to, a spatial and political economic analysis of the hearing healthcare system in the U.S. I am also interested in data analysis, including spatial analysis.
