My working career was as an illustrator, graphics designer and CAD draftsperson. This background was an excellent foundation for my work as an artist. I have the technical skills of an illustrator and the painterly skills of an artist. I paint landscapes, animals and portraits. I work from life when possible in all three areas. I have been recognized by the Sierra Arts Foundation and demonstrated during Art Walk in Reno, NV. I also painted and exhibited portraits of the Washoe County Sheriff's Department Deputies and their K-9's during the ArtTown Exhibit in Reno, NV. I have exhibited in the Nevada Museum of Art and participated in their auction and other events.

I am a member of the Portrait Society of America and the Sanders County Arts Council Visual Art Committee. I am a working artist in the community and teach painting and portrait art at my studio. I believe art is important to the community and I work to promote art in the schools and area. Art is a gift to the public from the artist who is able to translate what he or she sees into a beautiful form.
