Simone Anke
Artist and lawyer in Netherlands
Hi! My name is Simone Anke.
I am a lawyer by profession and an artist on the side in the Netherlands, while creating content on a hobbyist basis.
You have probably entered this profile through my artwork, so do not worry. You were directed to the right person.
Do you want to know more about my personal interests and skills? Then you can scroll further down below this page.
First, I will summarise something about me as an artist.
In general I am a hobbyist as I am not a routinier in commercial art. However I am open to becoming one by being available for commissions. If you are interested in agreeing on a commission with me, i'd recommend you to contact me through this page or through Instagram DM's and we'll see what we'll be able to agree upon.
There are several kind of art I practice, varying from digital art to conventional art (such as painting, pencil drawing), but also content writing (such as promotion texts), design in a creative perspective (such as fashion drawings or interior drawings) and cooking (recipes). Later on I would like to start with clay sculptures, music and perhaps embroidery, but that is all for when the moment presents itself.
Furthermore I feel the need to mention that the artist side of life is, at this point of life, not the main focus. I work as a lawyer and the demands of life also play a part. This does, however, not exclude the possibility of change in the future.
Further on, let's talk about me as a person.
As mentioned I am a lawyer who is making her hobby a more important part of her life. Besides that, there are several things about me that describe me in a somewhat more abstract way. Such as the love for wine and seafood, in particular squid, and cherry blossoms. Or my fiancé with whom I maintain a long-distance relationship, my preferance for traveling per train and my love for bugs. A good debate would not easily turned down, I have a special interest for languages, in particular both the Dutch and the Italian language, and essentially there will always be something I love in a conversation. Like a metaphor, here and there.
I appreciate life, my surroundings, my view of the world. There are, however, things I dislike as well. Such as wasps. I realise their importance, though. Or onion, which is to be avoided. Although, a good bolognese sauce cannot live without it. I cannot stand the smell of chlorine in a bathroom either. It penetrates my brain.
