Arthur Oloo, widely known in the industry as 'Jinx,' is a seasoned Artist & Repertoire (A&R) professional and media heavyweight with over a decade of experience shaping the African music landscape.

Currently, Jinx serves as the Music Lead at perFORM Music Incubator, where he is instrumental in nurturing the next generation of African talent. In this capacity, he manages the end-to-end creative lifecycle of cohort projects, overseeing recording, mixing, mastering, distribution, and strategic promotion. His leadership ensures that emerging artists transition from raw talent to market-ready professionals with high-quality assets.

Jinx’s career is defined by a deep commitment to talent development across East and South Africa:

  • Vth Season: Successfully managed over 10 major promotional campaigns and implemented talent accelerator programs. He facilitated high-profile collaborations featuring artists like Khaligraph Jones, Savara, Thato Saul, and Willy Paul, while demonstrating sharp legal acumen in negotiating split and feature agreements.
  • Boomplay: Served as the Artist Relations Manager (Kenya), coordinating over 50 promotional campaigns and organizing landmark shows for stars like Nyashinski, Nasty C, Kidi, and Nviiri.
  • QBE Records: As Label Manager and A&R, he spearheaded international radio and PR campaigns across Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, the UK, and the US.

Beyond the studio and boardroom, Jinx is a formidable force in broadcasting:

  • KISS FM: As the Deputy Programmes Controller, he revolutionized content delivery pipelines with major global labels and conducted the first East African interviews for international icons including Rema, Omah Lay, Focalistic, and Coi Leray.
  • Homeboyz Radio (HBR): Hosted the #1 night hip-hop show, 'The Jumpoff,' and produced the influential YouTube freestyle series #HBRTRAPLAB. His platform became the primary Kenyan stop for global superstars such as Ty Dolla $ign, T.I., B.O.B, and AKA.
