Client Relationship Manager/Law Clerk in New York
I am a graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and client relationship manager/law clerk at Gouchev Law PLLC, a corporate and IP boutique firm. I am passionate about using law to help entrepreneurs succeed. My interest in law began when I worked on possible corporate structures and intellectual property protections for my brother’s education startup in the NYU Stern 200K Berkley Competition and CUNY’s Entrepreneurial Concept Competition. I listen to clients first, studying their company, their unique needs, and their vision for future growth.
Previously, I interned at LawTrades, a legal tech startup, and at Jackson Ross PLLC, a corporate boutique firm serving startups and small businesses. I drafted a variety of contracts, including privacy policies, terms of service agreements, advisor agreements, independent contractor agreements, private placement memoranda and non-disclosure agreements for private equity clients and tech start-ups.
I participated in an Intensive Transactional Lawyering Program at Cardozo, a skills-based simulation course, where I represented a Buyer (a public pharmaceutical company) buying a privately held medical technology company. I also drafted a stock purchase agreement amendment, with markups and negotiated with Seller’s Counsel.
I am a proud recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s Pathway to the Profession Award for Student Involvement. I am an active member of the New York Legal Hackers Meetup and the Open Source Legal Meetup, and love all topics concerning technology’s revolutionary and disruptive effect on law. In my free time, I enjoy reading TechCrunch, listening to my diverse music collection, and playing basketball in the park.
