Arul Lawrence

I, Dr. A. S. Arul Lawrence, am an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU). I was born on 27th April, 1981 in a small village called Singamparai near Mukkudal, Tirunelveli District, as third child of Antony Selvaraj and Veronicka Saroja.
My academic journey was entirely with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, where I obtained my M.Sc. in Zoology, M.Ed., M.Phil. in Education, and Ph.D. in Education. In addition, I qualified the UGC-NET in Education.
I bring with me over 11 years of teaching experience in the regular classroom setting and more than five years in Open and Distance Learning. During my career, I had the privilege of serving as Principal in Colleges of Education for over seven years, where I combined leadership with a passion for quality teacher education. My academic journey has been equally active — I have been honored with two awards, and have contributed to the field by organizing four international conferences and two national seminars.
Over the years, I have shared my research in more than 40 presentations at national and international forums. As a writer and researcher, I have authored five books, developed seven self-learning materials, edited eight international volumes, and created two psychological testing tools. In addition, I have published over 50 research articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
My commitment to scholarship extends further as I continue to serve on the editorial boards and review panels of several renowned journals.
