"In the real estate business you learn more about people, and you learn more about community issues, you learn more about life, you learn more about the impact of government, probably than any other profession that I know of." - Johnny Isakson
"Real estate is my life. It is my day job, if you will. But it consumes my nights and weekends, too." - Ivanka Trump
"The problem with real estate is that it's local. You have to understand the local market." - Robert Kiyosaki
I come from generations in the real estate business. My grandfather, a partner at Sir Bruce White resigned to start his own company called Chadda Constructions in 1966. He along with his two sons was responsible for the civil construction of such landmark projects as the Centaur Hotel in Mumbai and the Yak and Yeti Hotel in Nepal.
After graduating with a degree in Environmental Policy from Rollins College, FL, I returned to India and worked with firms such as Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield and Vanguard Realty. Over the last decade my role at these companies grew from Brokerage to Project Head, managing the development of half a million square feet. In 2010 I started my own firm, Taurean Real Estate. The firm initially consulted with clients in Mumbai and Bangalore but is now focused on the area around Alibaug, Maharashtra, India.
