Journey of life has not been easy for Arun Kumar Mishra. Hailing from a modest family in Kanpur, U.P, Arun Kumar Mishra had to encounter various challenges in life but he refused to succumb to problems, and gradually paved the way of success through determination and perseverance.

Arun Kumar Mishra strongly believes that one should lead one's own life and others with a sense of purpose. He says, “Purpose is not just any purpose but one that stirs your soul and pushes you forward to build a better world, not just for yourself, but for others as well.”

Today, Arun Kumar Mishra is the Chief Engineer in the UPSIDC (Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation). Under his leadership, the UPSIDC has forged into new arenas and embarked on great industrial ventures and projects including the upcoming Hi-Tech City in Naini, Allahabad, UPSIDC. At the UPSIDC, Arun Kumar Mishra, is known to be a tireless worker who stays on task with the most difficult of projects.

He is also a passionate advocate of sustainable development, progressive planning, green technology and above all, human rights. He champions many causes and strongly believes that we must encourage our youth to focus on literacies, skills, and innovation to build best-in-class infrastructures and society.

Whenever he is not traveling and meeting people, he loves to read Biographies of living legends and actively encourages the youth to read it as well, saying “they allow you to see the world in new ways.”
